5At Achievement Prep, our dedicated teachers work to level the playing field and push our scholars to exceed academically and personally. We have been serving Ward 8 for over fifteen years. Our fully renovated campus serves grades PK3 – 8th beginning August 2026. We’re located at 908 Wahler Place SE, Washington, DC 20032 in the Washington Highlands community.
Our scholars receive 1:1 technology, daily enrichment program, three times the amount of language arts and math instruction compared to other schools, and a college prep curriculum starting in pre-kindergarten.
We’ve reimagined school. With our standard small class sizes, co-teacher model and two modern school buildings, we safely operate 100% in-person learning and will continue to proudly serve the Ward 8 community. How to Apply?
Achievement Prep prides itself on a family-centered learning environment that addresses the whole child. Our families stay with us year after year, so we have a limited number of high quality seats available for new scholars in grades PK3-5th for the 2026-27 school year. We do not accept new scholars in 6th – 8th grades. We welcome eligible families to apply through the MySchoolDC lottery.
1. Newly enrolling families must complete the MySchoolDC application online. Click here and make Achievement Prep your TOP choice!
2. Beginning Friday, March 27, 2026, we will send a welcome email to newly matched and returning families with next steps. To learn more about what you’ll need to enroll your scholar, select the appropriate button below for ‘New’ or ‘Returning’ scholars.
*Please note, scholars entering:
– PK3 must be 3 by September 30, 2026;
– PK4 must be 4 by September 30, 2026;
– Kindergarten must be 5 by September 30, 2026.

Waitlisted?
Waitlisted scholars are offered seats in the order in which their application is submitted. Achievement Prep has a sibling preference, so if you have a current/newly admitted scholar at Achievement Prep, the sibling will be moved to the top of the waitlist.

Once your scholar is offered a seat from the waiting list, you’ll have 5 days to submit application documents to the appropriate campus to secure scholars’ seat for the 2026-27 school year.
