FAQ

When will the new campuses open for operation?
Based on the most recent timeline, the new building (and future middle school) is set to be completed in December of 2015, when scholars and staff will transition out of the current middle school building on Wahler Place.
Once the current middle school building on Wahler Place has been vacated, the building will be renovated and will open for elementary school scholars and staff in the summer of 2016, in time for the 2016–17 school year.
How many scholars will the new campuses serve?
The 50,000 square foot preschool and elementary school building will serve 510 scholars in grades PreK through 3. The middle school will serve 450 scholars in grades 4–8.
Will the construction interrupt or affect current scholars at Wahler Place Middle School?
Although construction will occur during school hours, scholars at the middle school will follow their regular schedules as usual. To ensure the safety of the scholars and to separate them from the building site, recess will take place indoors during the duration of Phase I of the project.
As to be expected in any construction zone, there will be some noise during certain building phases. However, all construction will take place outside and scholars will not encounter any construction within the current middle school building.
