IMPORTANT UPDATE:
Achievement Prep’s Essential Worker Survey LIVE for In-Person K-3 Care (DUE BY 8/12/20)
Dear Achievement Prep Families,
As shared in our recent Parent Townhalls, we will open schools fully virtual for the 2020-21 school year with a very limited number of kindergarten through third grade only seats for in-person care for Essential Worker parents/caregivers. Given current safety considerations, AppleTree@Achievement Prep will not offer in-person seats at this time because of the unique developmental needs of our youngest learners.
Please be reminded that an ‘Essential Worker’ is an official designation made by the employer (employer documentation is required). In this case, we are prioritizing scholars of police, fire dept., and hospitals/healthcare workers. These are deemed essential services during the pandemic. We wish we could service every scholar in-person, but safety of scholars and adults alike will not allow this.
If you qualify for the Essential Worker designation as described above, please take a moment to complete the Essential Worker Survey by 5pm on Wednesday, August 12, 2020. The survey will close at that time and no additional responses will be accepted. Please have your proof of employment and/or essential worker authorization ready for upload into the survey. We must have employer documented proof on record to consider you for this option.
You will be notified if your family has been selected by Friday, August 14th. If you have more than one scholar, simply complete ONE survey and list the additional scholars at the end.
Please note that unfortunately, due to space limitations and safety and health protocols, submission of the survey is NOT a guarantee that you will receive in-person care. You will be notified by Friday, August 14th if your family has been selected for in-person care. If you are not selected, you will be added to the waitlist should a seat become available.
The pandemic has helped communities across the globe understand the importance of in-person education at school. Although the decision to move to fully virtual was a difficult one, we know it is in the best interest of the safety and well-being of scholars, staff and all of our loved ones. We look forward to serving all of our scholars in-person when deemed safe to do so.
If you have any questions, please reach out to Tamiko Singleton (Kindergarten-Third Grade) at tsingleton@achievementprep.org.
In partnership,
Achievement Prep
