Achievement Prep Kicks Off National Bullying Awareness and Prevention Month
Together with schools across the nation, Achievement Prep is celebrating October as National Bullying Awareness and Prevention Month. Throughout the month, scholars will learn about bullying and what they can do to ensure APA is a bully-free zone.
To kick off Bullying Awareness and Prevention Month, scholars will decorate banners in their advisories. Advisors will lead scholars in discussions centering on the importance of not being a bully and how they can stand up against negative behavior.
On October 5th, scholars at both campuses will have the opportunity to support Bullying Prevention by wearing a blue shirt, a symbol of solidarity with national observances of Bullying Prevention. As we cover our schools in a sea of blue, we will demonstrate our strong stand against bullying.
At Achievement Prep, we believe that building a healthy culture and learning environment requires our scholars, our staff, and our families. In recognition of the important role Platinum Parents play in putting an end to bullying, our October Family Nights at both campuses will be dedicated to educating families about bullying and bully prevention and will feature Suzanne Greenfield, Director of DC’s Citywide Bullying Prevention Program, as our guest speaker.
Stay tuned for updates from Bullying Prevention and Awareness Month! We are excited to kick off this fantastic initiative!
